The current legislislation allows you to compile the Home Information Pack yourself by ordering the elements of the Home Information Pack separately. It will also be your responsibility to commission a solicitor or conveyancer to check the contents of the HIP, arrange for leasehold information (a copy of the lease etc), create the Index & Sales Statement (a legal requirement of the HIP - vendors can use templates available) and make any necessary legal enquiries on your behalf.
