From 1 October 2008 all residential properties for sale and to let need a Energy Performance Certificate

1.  LANDLORDS - all of your residential rental properties will require an Energy Performance Certificate from 1 October 2008.  Each EPC will be valid for 10 years. 

2.  HOME OWNERS - if your property was put on the market before the introduction of Home Information Packs (1 August 2007), it now needs to have a Energy Performance Certificate if it is still on the market for sale (as of 1 October 2008).
