Energy Performance Certificates
The Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) is a required element of the Home Information Pack. It is an energy assessment of the property which results in a report giving the energy efficiency and environmental impact of a property with a variety of improvement recommendations.| Commercial EPCs |
| Commercial properties will require energy assessments in three stages - April, July and October 2008. |
| Domestic EPCs |
| Currently all properties marketed for sale now require an Energy Performance Certificate to be produced as part of the sales process. EPCs will also be required on new builds (2008) plus social and private rental properties (October 2008). |
