Vulnerable people in society, such the elderly, disabled and homeless, have specific housing requirements. The elderly often give up family homes and have to consider downscaling to smaller retirement homes or go into care homes. The disabled sometimes need help to ensure their rights are upheld and they are not discriminated against, as well as help in the home. The homeless need help to get a roof over their heads and get their lives back on track. Living in the countryside raises unique issues such as community facilities, where to build, affordable housing and general housing stock.
